Tate is known as the 7th gym leader along with his twin sister Liza in Mossdeep, Hoenn. In the anime, he is always picked on by his sister Liza for being a couple of minutes younger than she is (and thus is inexperienced compared to her).
His prized pokemon is Solrock.
