Nakano Sayuri, born September 20, 1985 in Osaka Prefecture, Japan is a female singer-songwriter. Her blood type is A. Her hobbies are iphone, nail and reading books.
Nakano grew up listening to her mother's favorite J-pop music. Admiring Amuro Namie, the 13-year-old girl who was always surrounded by music and songs then started her career as a singer. In 2000 she passed a vocalist audition sponsored by the Sony Music Entertainment label and thereafter made her debut together with 566 as 566 featuring Nakano Sayuri, providing Never Say Why, Never Say No, the seventh opening for hit television anime series Kindaichi Shounen no Jikenbo.
After having gone through her band activities, live performances and other media, she decided to start her solo career as Nakano Sayuri in order to find, express and share her real (true) self. She joined the Capsula talent agency in 2009 and switched her label from GOODSHIPS MUSIC, where she was since 2007, to MID ISLAND RECORDS in 2010. In May of the same year she released her first mini-album, Mitsukete.
