Cyrille Thouvenin, born May 15, 1976 in Mont-Saint-Martin (Meurthe-et-Moselle), is a French actor and author. Active on television since the mid-1990s, he first came to public attention with his role in the TV film Juste une question d'amour, in which he plays Laurent, a young homosexual who tries to live his love for a man despite rejection from his family. He became the first person to portray a homosexual love story in a prime-time French TV movie1. Following this, he made his film debut with Ilan Duran Cohen's La Confusion des genres, which earned him a César nomination in 2001. He went on to work with directors such as Emmanuelle Bercot, M. Night Shyamalan, Josée Dayan, Virginie Sauveur, Joe Wright, Jeremy Podeswa... He regularly alternates between theater and television.
