Trude's younger sister. Chris was seriously injured prior to the events of season 1, leaving her in a coma. She eventually comes to, and recovers somewhat. Trude cares about her sister deeply, as evidenced by her actions in the second season where she has Miyafuji buy a dress for Chris, and hen she tries to get Marseille's autograph for her, as Chris is a fan of Marseille. She bears an uncanny resemblance to Miyafuji Yoshika..

Chris Barkhorn is named for Gerd Barkhorn's wife, Christl.
