Ricardo was one of the homeless children who lived with Gaspard in Paris. He and Remi became friends. Ricardo and Mattia used to steal, but with the help of Remi, they gave up stealing and switched to shoe polishing. In the end, Ricardo and the other children that were once forced to work by Gaspard, were adopted by Mrs. Milligan, the mother of Remi.
