Alan Pascal first appeared in Captain Tsubasa, chapter 85. He's the best friend and partner of Juan Diaz. Both Pascal and Diaz grew up together, had always been best friends and did everything together, including playing football. He wears the jersey #12.

He is based on real life player Pedro Pasculli. Pasculli played as a striker for Argentinos Juniors in his own country, partnering Diego Maradona. Also, Pasculli scored the only goal in the victory against Uruguay in the round of 16.
