Reo Mikage is the heir of the Mikage Corporation. Prior to entering Blue Lock, he was a student at an elite high school, the same school as Seishiro Nagi.

Reo is a tall and attractive young man with a nice figure. He has chin length purple hair (shown in the official coloured art), usually tied in a high bun, letting two strands of hair framing his face. He also has bright purple eyes, also shown on the official art. During his high school days, he was fairly popular and had many admirers. During the Bluelock matches, he is seen wearing the dark Team V uniform.

Reo is a very charismatic, sociable and joyful individual. During his high school days, he had lots of friends, was the top student and participated in many sports activities. However, he was shown getting bored quickly of everyone petting him and giving him what he wanted. When playing soccer, he is very careful and analyzes his opponent's strengths and weaknesses, showing a very tactical mind.

Reo was born as the heir of the Mikage Corporation (a total asset of 705.8 billion yen). From an early age, he got anything he wanted such as games, toys, and gaming consoles. However, as he grew up, Reo expressed his boredom and said he wanted something for his own, something he could treasure himself. Most importantly, he wanted something that wasn't easy to obtain.

It was during his first year of high school that he stumbled upon a video of the World Cup and found something that he had been seeking for so long. His father refused to support his football dreams and wants him to give up on it, saying that only those chosen by football itself can make a living out of it and not someone who only started now. His parents want him to graduate from an elite high school and become an elite businessman who can take over the company.

However, rather than being discouraged, it fueled his desire even further. He was confident that he would lead his school to the nationals until he realized that the school's football club was trash because attended an elite high school.
