He is one of the new sumo trainees in Raijin Stables who lives in Akita. He is very shy and doesn't talk a lot because he is embarrassed of his hoarse voice. He is also the odd one in the stables because he is often sick and prone to nervousness He would often suffer from Polyuria (excessive urination) and flatulence prior to his match.

He is very good at playing Shogi. Sakaguchi would often challenge him to a game or two. For some reason he is the only one whom Sakaguchi treats kindly.

It is pointed out that, when push comes to shove, he can get really aggressive.
